What is RTT

Hear it straight from Marisa Peer, the founder of RTT.

Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) is a hybrid method created by Marisa Peer, blending hypnotherapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), neuro-linguistic programming (NLP), and psychotherapy into one focused process. Instead of managing symptoms from the outside, RTT goes straight to the subconscious, the part of your mind running the show long before your conscious brain catches up and finds the actual root of the pattern you're stuck in.

In a session, I guide you into a deeply relaxed hypnotic state (nothing like the stage-hypnosis clichés, you're aware, in control, and can hear everything). From there, we use regression to trace a belief, fear, or habit back to where it started. Once we find it, we don't just observe it, we reframe it, right there in the moment, and install a new belief in its place. You leave with a personalised audio recording built from your own session, designed to reinforce that shift for the 21 days that follow.

It's not magic. It's not about "trying harder" or willing yourself into change. It's about finally understanding why the old pattern made sense to your mind, so it can let it go.

RTT vs Traditional Hypnotherapy — What's the Difference?

People often assume RTT and hypnotherapy are the same thing. They're related, but they work very differently.

Traditional hypnotherapy uses relaxation and positive suggestion, reinforced over several sessions across weeks or months, to gradually build new patterns.

RTT uses regression to find the root cause of a belief or pattern, reframes it directly in the session, and typically needs just 1–3 sessions, followed by 21 days of audio reinforcement.

Traditional hypnotherapy is a bit like painting over a wall - calming, and it can absolutely help. RTT strips the wall back first, works out what's actually causing the damp patch, and fixes that. Both are valid. RTT is simply built for people who want to understand the "why" and don't want to wait months to feel different.

FAQs

Is RTT actual hypnosis? Will I lose control?

1

Yes, it's hypnosis, but not the version you've seen on stage. You stay fully aware throughout, you can hear and respond to everything, and you can bring yourself out of it at any point. Hypnosis is simply a state of deep focus and relaxation, not a loss of control.

How many sessions will I need?

2

Most issues are addressed in 1–3 sessions. Some people come for a single, specific issue; others want to work through a few layers. We'll talk this through before we start so you know what to expect.

What can RTT help with?

3

Confidence, anxiety, sobriety and addictive patterns, self-worth, weight and body image, phobias, grief, relationship patterns, and limiting beliefs around money, success, or love - among others. If it's rooted in a belief your subconscious is holding onto, RTT can help.

What actually happens in a session?

4

We start with a conversation about what's going on for you. Then I guide you into hypnosis and we use regression to find the origin of the pattern - often a moment or belief from childhood you may not consciously remember. We reframe it together, and I record the session so I can build you a personalised audio afterwards.

FAQs

Do I need to "believe in" hypnosis for it to work?

5

No. You just need to be willing to relax and be honest. Hypnosis is a natural state you move in and out of every day - daydreaming, driving on autopilot, losing yourself in a film. RTT simply uses that state on purpose.

What's the audio recording for, and do I have to listen to it?

6

It's a personalised recovery tool built from your actual session, designed to reinforce the new belief while your subconscious is most receptive. Listening daily for 21 days is where a lot of the lasting change happens - it's not optional homework, it's part of the process.

Is this a replacement for therapy or medical treatment?

7

RTT is a powerful complementary tool, but it isn't a replacement for medical or psychiatric care. If you're currently working with a doctor, psychiatrist, or therapist, RTT can sit alongside that, just let me know so we can work together safely.

Is everything I share confidential?

8

Completely. What comes up in a session stays between us.
